Staff Technical Solutions Engineer, Wi-Fi Standards

Our team is building the next generation Android Wi-Fi features and frameworks to unlock novel experiences within the Android ecosystem and Pixel devices. Our goal is to enable First-Party (1P) and Third-Party (3P) Android devices across the ecosystem to have connectivity to the internet as well as to each other.

• Lead new features and technologies within the Wi-Fi Standards through interaction with Google teams, industry leaders, and standard organizations.
• Collaborate with both internal, external and partner teams to refine and define the Wi-Fi requirements and scaling it to the industry.
• Help build the next generation technologies for 1P and 3P devices.
• Partner and collaborate with related engineering teams, product management, and program management to ensure the development of high-quality solutions in a timely manner.
• Unlock novel experiences and use cases for users in the Android ecosystem.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 13 years of experience in wireless communication protocols.
• Experience with Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11) technology and standards.
• Preferred qualifications: Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
